Cards4Kids was founded in 2001 by a group of ex-collectors with the goal of obtaining trading cards and comic books to donate to needy children. In the Summer of 2000 we had an idea to give kids some trading cards for Halloween. We put together "goodie bags" filled with trading cards and candy. Needless to say, they were a big hit with the kids. To see the joy on their faces was just overwhelming. For several days after that Halloween, kids came to the house asking if we had any more cards. We did have more cards to give. In fact, we had several thousand cards just siiting in boxes collecting dust. It gave us the idea to make giving cards and comic books to kids a year-round project. We wanted to be able to give needy, ill and handicapped kids the same joy that the kids in our neighborhood felt. We have since donated to many children's hospitals as well as other non-profit organizations.
